About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to join our team remotely, overseeing operations in the heavy industry sector. As a Plant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of our production processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Define measurable plant objectives in collaboration with the Area Production Manager.
  • Develop and implement management systems focused on quality, health & safety, and fire protection.
  • Organize and coordinate production processes, emphasizing quality and deadlines.
  • Set annual plant budgets based on sales forecasts and monitor production costs.
  • Lead and motivate your team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and validate production processes from a safety perspective.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, local authorities, and trade unions.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience in production within a heavy industrial environment.
  • Fluent English (B2/C1 level) with effective communication skills in an international business context.
  • In-depth understanding of Health & Safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies and the ability to inspire teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex situations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to dynamic operational challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in sectors such as cement, lime, ceramics, glass, or refractory materials.
  • Familiarity with technical norms and industrial standards.
  • Previous experience in strategic plant management.
