Software Integration and Test Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Integration and Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a crucial role in building software and platforms that support critical missions in the Space and Intelligence domains. This Software Integration and Test Engineer remote position offers you the opportunity to work on innovative projects while collaborating with a passionate team.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, integrate, test, deploy, and enhance software services and platforms within an agile team.
• Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to ensure quality is integrated early in the development process.
• Develop and implement QA/test methodologies and processes for a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment.
• Conduct automated and manual testing of applications, both back-end and UI.
• Qualify new features by testing on various supported platforms and configurations.
• Implement, execute, and troubleshoot automated tests during sprint cycles.
• Verify installations with acceptance tests, track bugs, and actively participate in development meetings.
• Support and foster a technical culture that values engagement, curiosity, and problem-solving.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing I&T plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
• Experience with application deployment tools such as Ansible.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab Runner.
• Proficiency in testing frameworks such as JUnit-Mockito, Apache HTTPD Server, and Spring Boot.
• Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Expertise in Test Automation using tools like Selenium, Test Complete, Cucumber, or Apache JMeter.
• Familiarity with Cloud Computing and IaaS environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Understanding of container technologies like Docker and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with multiple DevSecOps tool chains.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Proficient in technology trends and product/process improvements.
• Experience with memory and CPU profiling.
• Background in building large-scale mission-critical applications.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and information visualization.
