Global Payroll Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Global Payroll Analyst remote to join our dynamic team at Oyster. This role is pivotal in optimizing global payroll processes and analyzing payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance across various jurisdictions. As a Global Payroll Analyst, you will work closely with our Payroll Operations team and external vendors to enhance our payroll systems and support our mission of creating a more equitable world through global employment.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough global payroll data analysis to ensure accuracy in processing and reporting, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with payroll processes adhering to country-specific tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Support the payroll team in processing payroll, validating payroll data, and identifying discrepancies in employee records.
• Analyze current payroll procedures and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct regular payroll audits to verify the accuracy of payroll records and ensure reconciliation with general ledger accounts.
• Utilize payroll software and HR systems to improve workflow and reporting capabilities.
• Assist team members and customers with payroll-related queries, resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to coordinate payroll activities effectively.
• Stay updated on payroll regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in payroll analysis or related finance roles.
• Proficiency in payroll software, advanced Excel/Gsheet skills, and data transformation tools.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and provide actionable insights.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll data and reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities focused on resolving payroll discrepancies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with hybrid payroll systems in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, and France.
• Familiarity with payroll regulations in Central & Eastern Europe and APAC countries.
