About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Social Media Intern to join our team remotely. As a Social Media Intern, you will contribute to Our National Conversation’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by building a strong social media presence and community across various platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for current or recent students in Digital Media, Marketing, Journalism, or related fields to gain valuable experience in the fast-paced world of social media.

What You'll Do

  • Create engaging content for social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Engage with our community on social media, responding to comments and messages to foster a vibrant online presence.
  • Analyze social media data weekly to track engagement and growth metrics.
  • Collaborate with team members via Zoom and Slack to brainstorm and execute social media strategies.
  • Attend weekly meetings to discuss progress and new ideas.
  • Work independently to meet deadlines while managing your schedule flexibly.
  • Submit a one-page cover letter as part of your application process.
  • Commit to the internship until at least the end of the Spring Semester, with the potential for extension based on performance.

Requirements

  • Current or recent student in Digital Media, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing skills in English.
  • Experience with social media platforms is essential.
  • Familiarity with Canva is preferred.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Google Workspace is preferred.
  • Authorized to intern in the U.S.

Nice to Have

  • Previous internship or work experience in a marketing or communications role.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics tools.
