Senior Wells Engineer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Wells Engineer remote to join our dynamic team at ExxonMobil. This role is pivotal in providing wells engineering support across ExxonMobil’s global portfolio. With 3-10 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in well management, ensuring safe and cost-effective operations that align with our commitment to a net-zero future.

What You'll Do

• Provide engineering support in well management, focusing on wellwork, well integrity, and plug & abandonment (P&A).
• Collaborate with Wells teams to design and operationalize safe, efficient solutions.
• Generate detailed reports and plots to communicate engineering insights and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and international regulations.
• Support well integrity assessments and remediation planning.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all activities.
• Identify and implement new technologies to enhance wellwork efficiency.
• Work closely with engineers and operations personnel on global asset teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in petroleum, mechanical, chemical, civil, or electrical engineering with a minimum GPA of 7.
• 3-10 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical design and operating parameters.
• Experience in writing procedures for Wellwork Operations is preferred.
• Field experience at a rig site or wellsite is an advantage.
• Familiarity with engineering applications such as Cerberus, WellView, and Tableau.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with flexibility in shifts.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AFE and budget forecasts for wellwork activities.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Spotfire.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
