Senior Welding Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Welding Engineer to join our global team at TechnipFMC. In this Senior Welding Engineer remote position, you will provide expert knowledge of welding techniques and applications while supporting tenders, documentation preparation, and overseeing qualifications.

What You'll Do

• Lead all welding requirements within the Core Tech VSO Support Group, including R&D, standardization, specification development, tendering, qualification, project execution, and supplier support.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Sourcing, and Supplier Quality teams to ensure welding-related expertise is effectively provided.
• Conduct welding technical audits and ensure that welding requirements are fully understood both internally and externally.
• Manage and support qualification activities related to welding processes and continuously develop existing and new welding techniques.
• Take the lead in welding-related failure investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Identify and drive welding-related improvement projects across the organization.

Requirements

• Experience in a technical special process-related engineering role.
• Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EWE & IWE Qualification.
• NDT Qualification.
• Understanding of NDE Processes used within the industry.
• Ability to define welding-related problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using Lean Process & Product Development (LPPD).
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with internal customers and suppliers.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with other disciplines on welding and related special process requirements.
• Knowledge of supply chain strategies related to welding processes.
