Senior Vegetation Management Inspector - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Vegetation Management Inspector to join our team at ACRT Pacific. This Senior Vegetation Management Inspector remote position is perfect for experienced forestry professionals who are passionate about environmental management and have a strong background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, or related fields. In this role, you will perform inspections, audits, and monitor contractor performance while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
What You'll Do
- Conduct inspections and audits of vegetation management activities to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned tree clearance crews, serving as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and customers.
- Manage time and expenses in the field to minimize rework and drive quality.
- Encourage a positive safety culture by promoting safety leadership and ensuring adherence to safety rules.
- Utilize software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and data management.
- Perform Quality Check audits on assigned Vegetation Management Inspectors, focusing on field compliance and data integrity.
- Assist in training and onboarding new Vegetation Management Inspectors.
- Maintain working relationships with public agencies and PG&E’s tree contractors to address escalated work and customer complaints.
Requirements
- Active TRAQ Certification is required.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Five years of experience in vegetation management, tree climbing, or related fields.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data collection devices.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to identify local trees and knowledge of growth rates.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GIS software.
- Knowledge of QA/QC processes.
- Previous experience in utility inspection.
