Senior Unity Game Developer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Unity Game Developer to join our fully remote team at Nerd Ninjas. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about creating engaging user experiences in the gaming industry. As a Senior Unity Game Developer, you will work with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to crafting seamless and rewarding interactions in our games. Your expertise in Unity will be crucial in ensuring our players enjoy intuitive gameplay.

What You'll Do

• Translate design specifications into functional game mechanics, ensuring an engaging experience for players.
• Communicate effectively with team members to establish efficient pipelines and integrate media assets.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code as a Senior Unity Game Developer.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising solutions to address and mitigate these issues.
• Help maintain code quality, cleanliness, and organization throughout the development process.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing games on multi-person teams.
• Excellent knowledge of C#, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience with mobile, PC, and 3D game development.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and current design patterns.
• Familiarity with game physics and particle systems.
• Proficient knowledge of Git and strong English communication skills.
• A passion for games and the ability to work successfully in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular CLI.
• Experience optimizing memory and space usage for hardware performance.
• Experience with automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Familiarity with analytics and crash reporting frameworks.
• Experience with VR or AR technologies.
