What You'll Do

• Engineer avionics for volume production through a full design cycle including requirements, prototype, schematic capture, layout, and validation.
• Lead trade studies, understand competing design priorities, and provide direction for project success.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of systems and components.
• Conduct detailed design tasks such as schematic capture, PCB layout, system integration, and validation.
• Oversee production processes including quality assurance, failure analysis, and manufacturing cost management.
• Troubleshoot field issues, develop mitigations, and roll learnings into future designs to enhance performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of design experience in electrical engineering, particularly in circuit analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, and integration.
• Experience developing electronics for critical systems in aerospace, transportation, or medical devices.
• Proficiency in hard-switching power converters, resonant power converters, motor drives, and voltage/current management.
• Familiarity with simple digital logic and basic embedded communications busses (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
• Knowledge of higher-speed communications such as Ethernet and LVDS.
