Senior Technical Operations Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Operations Engineer to join our innovative team at Anduril Industries. This Senior Technical Operations Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transformation of military capabilities through advanced technology. You will play a pivotal role in developing operational software solutions that leverage data and AI to enhance our products and services.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of our test data infrastructure in collaboration with Flight Test and Engineering teams, ensuring our products are effectively utilized across various system configurations and deployed environments.
• Partner with Field Operations teams to architect and build a fleet management system that monitors the operational performance and reliability of our aircraft, maximizing uptime and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with production teams to design and implement tools and metrics that facilitate the scaling of production from single units to thousands, enabling rapid introduction of new products into the manufacturing line.
• Set project impact, prioritization, and timelines, ensuring alignment with Anduril's strategic goals.
• Build and grow a team of engineers, leading by example as we scale our business and field operations.
• Identify and structure various data systems to develop tailored data-driven solutions that address operational challenges.
• Develop operational applications in a scrappy but effective manner, working closely with users to iterate and support outcomes.
• Work closely with Anduril’s corporate Analytics team to expand our ontologies and generalize our data and workflow applications across the entire company.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical operating roles, demonstrating a proof of delivery from ambiguity to scalable outcomes.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to influence and dive into details while building high-performing teams.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid engineering fundamentals in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Deep intellectual curiosity about the intersection of analytics and physical hardware, motivated by Anduril’s mission.
• Experience coding in Python, SQL, React, TypeScript, or equivalent technologies.
• Familiarity with data systems such as dbt, Redshift, Looker/Tableau, and Palantir Foundry.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the defense technology sector or related industries.
• Familiarity with AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion technologies.
• Previous involvement in developing operational software solutions.
