About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer - Network Infrastructure to join our team at Digital Green B.V. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work on a critical infrastructure team that keeps a large-scale, high-availability network running. As a Senior Systems Engineer - Network Infrastructure remote professional, you will have the chance to automate, improve, and scale the physical and logical backbone behind a major e-commerce platform.

What You'll Do

  • Automate network and infrastructure tasks using tools like Puppet, Python, and Bash.
  • Run, maintain, and improve Linux (RHEL) based infrastructure.
  • Support core network services including DHCP, DNS, NTP, monitoring, and orchestration.
  • Troubleshoot network issues across ISO layers 1–3.
  • Lead and coordinate network-related projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration.

Requirements

  • Strong Linux and automation background.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with infrastructure at scale.
  • Automation-first, problem-solving mindset.
  • Clear communication and ownership mentality.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN.
  • Familiarity with hardware from Cisco & Juniper.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like InfluxDB and Telegraf.
