Operations Research Analyst /​ Data Scientist - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Operations Research Analyst / Data Scientist to join our team at GovCIO. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to support data analytics and reporting activities for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). As an Operations Research Analyst / Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in pulling, configuring, and analyzing data to create real-time metrics that support the ICE mission.

What You'll Do

• Provide effective data management to enable complex analytics from various systems and software including Oracle, Databricks, AWS, and ServiceNow.
• Align data with analytic tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik Dashboards.
• Facilitate client needs and perform gap analysis to recommend solutions within data systems.
• Conduct trade-off analyses on technical solutions to determine the best tools and methodologies for complex data requests.
• Create project deliverables to ensure adherence to compliance and quality standards.
• Use source data to assess project effectiveness and business processes.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze changes in requirements and recommend timely solutions.
• Enable end-user visibility of data and metrics through dashboard creation and dissemination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of work experience in data analytics (2 years may be waived for a master's degree).
• 2+ years of experience in data exploration, cleaning, visualization, and analytics.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Qlik or Power BI.
• Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance (US citizenship required).
