Senior Structural Designer - Packaging & Displays (Remote)

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Structural Designer to join our innovative team in the packaging and point of purchase displays sector. This remote position allows you to apply your advanced design skills in creating impactful designs for packaging and displays. As a Senior Structural Designer, you will play a crucial role in evaluating customer needs and translating them into effective designs that meet manufacturing capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Utilize advanced design skills to create packaging and point of purchase display designs for new and existing products.
• Evaluate customer needs and expectations, translating them into detailed drawings, designs, and prototypes.
• Develop designs and recommend materials and production methods that align with customer requirements and optimize plant facilities.
• Create or secure samples of designs for customer inspection and production orders.
• Conduct packaging and component testing, evaluate results, and advise stakeholders on findings.
• Assess existing customer packaging for potential improvements in style, function, and cost.
• Provide creative input and conduct design reviews with customers.
• Train and support junior designers, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in packaging design or a related field.
• Proficiency in Artios CAD, Kongsberg table, or similar design tools.
• Strong communication skills with customers and sales staff.
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
• A college education or significant coursework in CAD, drafting, or a related field.
