About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Definity, specializing in AI-driven solutions. This Senior Backend Software Engineer remote position is pivotal in developing and maintaining a mission-critical CRM platform designed to support the global sales operations of a leading automotive client based in Fremont, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, high-performance backend systems that handle real-time data processing and large-scale data environments, directly contributing to revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend architectures aligned with business needs.
• Develop high-performance microservices capable of handling real-time data streams.
• Architect systems that support high throughput and large data volumes.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance across distributed environments.
• Contribute to the development of AI-assisted workflows aimed at enhancing sales productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and data engineers to deliver seamless, robust solutions.
• Optimize system performance and ensure high availability.
• Implement best practices for security, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in backend development within production environments.
• Strong foundation in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang and Python.
• Hands-on experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL, and large-scale data systems such as ClickHouse.
• Familiarity with search technologies like OpenSearch or similar, message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, and real-time data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of scalable system design, high throughput architectures, and cloud-native principles.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Interest in relocating and living in the United States.
