Principal Systems Test Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Systems Test Engineer to join our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. This remote opportunity allows you to work on cutting-edge systems that impact lives globally. As a Principal Systems Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, collaborating with various teams to ensure the highest quality of systems testing.
What You'll Do
- Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network, software, and system engineers.
- Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability, including installation, upgrades, and configuration management.
- Integrate IP-based devices into network architecture and support troubleshooting of devices and networks.
- Execute root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues.
- Coordinate integrated testing activities and oversee test activities in support of requirement verification and validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science with 5 years of experience, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year of experience. Additional experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application.
- 3+ years of experience working with lab environments/processes.
- 3+ years of experience integrating COTS, GOTS, and custom software in a security-constrained environment.
- 3+ years of experience on engineering or administration experience for Cisco/Juniper networks, RHEL, or Windows OS.
Nice to Have
- Experience with scripting, particularly in shell scripting, Python, or PowerShell.
- Experience with vSphere and/or VMware Cloud Foundation.
- Experience with operation, development, or testing of RTOSs.
