Senior Software Engineer - Remote Data Platform

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and infrastructure components that power our platform.
• Contribute to data pipelines and processes (ELT/ETL) for real-time and batched data extraction, processing, and transformation.
• Build and maintain integrations with data providers using various data transfer protocols.
• Support and develop backend services and infrastructure components across the broader platform.
• Drive engineering projects from start to finish with high ownership and autonomy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support team goals beyond core data engineering responsibilities.
• Ensure product and data quality through manual and automated testing, along with code reviews.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on Data Engineering.
• Strong backend development skills, including building and supporting REST/gRPC APIs and services.
• Experience with complex SQL queries and technologies like Redshift, Clickhouse, Trino, StarRocks, Apache Iceberg, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and their data-related services.
• A proactive approach to tasks and a desire to learn and grow in the industry.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data quality tools and automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance, particularly GDPR.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their application in data engineering.
