About the Role

Join CrowdStrike as a Senior Software Engineer II, focusing on Linux Sensor development. This Senior Software Engineer II remote position allows you to work on cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions that protect organizations globally. You will play a critical role in developing the Falcon Host sensor, a key component of our AI-native platform that detects and prevents breaches.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with sensor development teams to architect and implement innovative features for Linux OS platforms.
• Conceptualize and develop new product features that enhance system performance and security.
• Guide and support teams in designing software for cross-platform delivery, ensuring seamless integration across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Take ownership of features throughout their lifecycle, from design to delivery, including product demonstrations at the end of each sprint.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with geographically distributed teams to drive project success.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of C/C++ programming languages.
• Extensive understanding of Linux OS internals and experience debugging memory corruption issues.
• Proven track record of delivering major features and releases through effective collaboration.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate effectively within a distributed team environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and a strong background in developing scalable systems.

Nice to Have

• In-depth OS system expertise regarding core concepts and subsystems.
• Familiarity with security principles and experience with eBPF.
