We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Generative AI to join our innovative team at Bidgely. You will work with cutting-edge technologies to design and implement scalable AI systems that empower energy companies and consumers alike.

What You'll Do

• Define technical vision and architecture for scalable, production-grade Generative AI systems using LangChain, LangGraph, FastAPI, and modern AI frameworks.
• Drive innovation in Generative AI by researching, prototyping, and implementing advanced techniques including prompt engineering and agentic AI systems.
• Lead AI experimentation and evaluation by designing comprehensive frameworks for LLM performance and establishing best practices for prompt engineering.
• Architect and optimize LLM workloads to support millions of calls across multiple utilities, ensuring strict cost and latency targets are met.
• Design sophisticated event-driven architectures using SQS, asynchronous workflows, and microservices patterns.
• Establish best practices for coding standards, testing strategies, and operational excellence in Generative AI applications.
• Mentor and guide engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex concepts effectively.

Requirements

• BS/MS+ in Computer Science, AI/ML, or equivalent from a premier institution.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 1-2 years focused on Generative AI and production LLM-based applications.
• Expert-level knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, and LLM orchestration frameworks.
• Proven track record of architecting and deploying production-grade AI systems at scale.
• Extensive experience building scalable RESTful APIs and microservices architectures using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Deep expertise in integrating and optimizing LLM providers, with a focus on model selection and cost optimization.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex challenges.
• Outstanding communication skills to influence technical direction and collaborate with global teams.

Nice to Have

• Expert-level Python programming and knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with vector databases and advanced retrieval techniques.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Background in building conversational AI or chatbots.
