Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Lyssna. This Senior Software Engineer remote position is open to candidates based in Australia and New Zealand. You will drive the development and delivery of our core products while enhancing our engineering practices.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deliver features in a cross-functional product team, focusing on both back-end (Ruby/Rails/Postgres) and front-end (React/Typescript) technologies.
• Lead projects and initiatives, ensuring high-quality deliverables that solve user problems.
• Collaborate with team members to improve technical practices and contribute to our processes and architecture.
• Engage in iterative development cycles, utilizing the build/measure/learn methodology.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to enhance product usability and performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a strong focus on full-stack development.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React, with a solid understanding of PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in a remote environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering user-centric products.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and frameworks.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Familiarity with security best practices in software development.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
