Associate Director of SOX Controls and Compliance - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are excited to announce a remote opportunity for an Associate Director of SOX Controls and Compliance. In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Director of Global Controls and Compliance, supporting Organon in maintaining its Global Controls Framework and ensuring SOX compliance. This position offers a unique chance to engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders across various divisions, making a significant impact on our compliance initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Provide global financial compliance support and ensure adherence to the Company’s internal controls framework.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the Internal Control Solution (AuditBoard), overseeing security access requests and process enhancements.
- Partner with business process owners to assess risks, design controls, and develop remediation plans for control deficiencies.
- Support control-related projects aimed at standardizing, optimizing, and automating control execution.
- Address segregation of duties issues for SAP users and provide SOX compliance education and training.
- Interact directly with internal and external audits on compliance topics, escalating control issues as necessary.
- Provide financial compliance expertise in support of business development transactions and system implementations.
- Maintain the Grant of Authority (GoA) system and serve as the point of contact for GoA inquiries.
Requirements
- B.S. in Accounting; M.B.A. and/or C.P.A. is a plus.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in financial, accounting, or compliance/SOX 404 roles.
- Proficient in technology and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AuditBoard or similar internal control solutions.
- Familiarity with SAP and its compliance requirements.
- Additional language proficiency.
