About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Software Engineer to join our client’s team, working remotely from Ireland. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a web-based application, leveraging your extensive experience in Ruby on Rails. What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Support and enhance existing applications, focusing on REST API integrations.
• Utilize relational databases and SQL for efficient data management.
• Implement UI development skills using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
• Engage in end-to-end web development processes, from design to implementation.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the application.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in web development, specifically with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and integrations.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly Postgres is a plus.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Vue.js.
• Practical AI experience is a bonus.
• Proven track record in the design and delivery of web applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
