We are seeking a Senior Radiological Engineer to join our innovative team focused on advanced micro nuclear reactor technology. What You'll Do
- Support safety and licensing analysis for advanced micro nuclear reactors.
- Collaborate with nuclear engineering teams to ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
- Conduct radiological evaluations and shielding analyses using MCNP, SCALE, and RADTRAD.
- Calculate dose consequences from theoretical accident scenarios.
- Prepare and review safety analyses and calculation packages.
- Engage with regulatory bodies to secure approval for reactor core designs.
- Utilize scripting and coding skills in Python and Excel VBA for analysis tasks.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment with strong communication skills.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Nuclear Engineering or related field (Physics with nuclear concentration).
- Experience in radiological evaluation within PWR or BWR environments.
- Proficiency in MCNP, SCALE, RADTRAD, or similar nuclear analysis codes.
- Strong scripting and coding skills in Python and/or Excel VBA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with positive team interaction skills.
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder required.
