Senior Product Manager - Buyer-Facing Search Experience (Remote)

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead the buyer-facing search experience on Etsy's iOS app. This role is crucial as search is the primary way buyers navigate our extensive marketplace, which features over 100 million listings. As a Senior Product Manager, you'll shape how buyers search, browse results, and refine their intent, ultimately guiding them from a query to a confident purchase decision. This is a remote position that allows you to work from anywhere in the United States.

What You'll Do

• Own the product strategy for the buyer-facing search experience on iOS, defining key buyer problems to solve.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to translate new search capabilities, such as LLMs and embedding retrieval, into impactful product experiences.
• Design and conduct experiments to assess how changes in result presentation and navigation affect buyer engagement and conversion rates.
• Analyze search behavior data to identify gaps between buyer expectations and the current search experience.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the search experience is integrated into a cohesive buyer journey across the app.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in consumer product management, specifically in search, discovery, or recommendations.
• Strong understanding of the interplay between query understanding, ranking, and result presentation.
• Experience collaborating with ML and engineering teams on technically complex products.
• Proven track record of designing experiments that test mechanisms and using data to inform decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical trade-offs to diverse audiences.
