Senior Product Engineer - React & Node.js for Developer Tools

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer - React & Node.js to join our dynamic team at Lingo.dev. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge developer tools that are already loved by thousands of users. As a Senior Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and enhancing our product offerings, ensuring they meet the needs of our growing user base.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with a team of senior engineers to design and develop web applications, focusing on routing, navigation, and user experience.
• Build and maintain open-source tools, including CLI and plugins for webpack/vite.
• Design backend APIs with a focus on encapsulation, security, and performance.
• Work with PostgreSQL to manage the database layer effectively.
• Integrate AI agents into our products to enhance functionality.
• Take full ownership of features from design to deployment, including drafting technical designs and implementing them with thorough testing and documentation.
• Participate in weekly demo days to showcase progress and gather feedback.
• Engage in three sprints of product roadmap work followed by a cooldown sprint focused on customer feature requests and improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Expertise in React, including Suspense-first patterns and loading states.
• Experience with server-side rendering (SSR), client-side rendering (CSR), and static site generation (SSG).
• Strong background in designing navigation and onboarding flows, as well as user journeys.
• Experience with backend development using Node.js (Express.js or similar) and PostgreSQL.
• Proven ability to design production-ready APIs and implement authentication and authorization systems.
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Prior experience working remotely in distributed teams.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cloudflare platform and Row-Level Security (RLS) in Supabase/PostgreSQL.
• Background in building AI agents or contributing to design systems.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.
• Open-source contributions.
• Multilingual capabilities.
