Senior Principal Software Engineer - Cyber Security (Remote)

What You'll Do

• Develop software for embedded technology environments, focusing on real-time operating systems for flight and mission-critical systems.
• Perform security engineering tasks within networking environments, including compliance and vulnerability assessments.
• Administer program control processes to mitigate risks and support the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of systems.
• Implement and document security requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST and OWASP.
• Identify and remediate cyber vulnerabilities, working with teams to integrate findings into system plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years, or a PhD with 4 years of experience.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance required.
• Experience with compliance and vulnerability reporting tools (e.g., Nessus, Nmap).
• Familiarity with Windows and UNIX-based platforms, including RedHat and Solaris.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including network security and software security.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree in STEM with experience in Information Systems Security.
• Higher-level certifications such as CEH, CASP+, CISM, or CISSP.
• Experience with NIST special publications and DoD policies.
