Senior Principal Network Engineer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Principal Network Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. As a Senior Principal Network Engineer remote, you will design and plan network communication systems, ensuring the highest standards of performance and security.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement network communication systems, providing detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Troubleshoot and isolate network faults and failures in LAN/WAN environments.
• Evaluate and report on new communication technologies to enhance network capabilities.
• Maintain technical expertise in routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mission success.
• Provide specifications for hardware and software selections to meet business needs.
• Conduct regular assessments and upgrades to network infrastructure.
• Travel up to 25% to support network installations and upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a full-scope polygraph.
• Security+ certification is mandatory.
• Experience in designing large networks and maintaining technical expertise in network interconnections.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of firewall hardware/software administration.
• Experience with CISCO routers and switches.
• Familiarity with COMSEC equipment.
