Join us as an Automation Engineer in the exciting field of metal additive manufacturing. What You'll Do

  • Develop real-time diagnostics on liquid metal jetting droplet-on-demand additive manufacturing platforms.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance automated systems and protocols.
  • Evaluate jetting performance of various printhead configurations through experimentation.
  • Fully automate analysis of data modalities to extract printhead performance metrics using programming environments like Matlab or Python.
  • Summarize and communicate findings to staff engineers and scientists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance.
  • Experience working independently in a hands-on experimental environment.
  • Fundamental knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and engineering software tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in developing real-time diagnostics for additive manufacturing processes.
  • FPGA and/or microcontroller programming experience.
  • Experience in 3D CAD design, such as SolidWorks.
