Senior Payroll Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team at Under Armour. This remote role focuses on the execution of regional payroll operations across EMEA. As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with local regulations.

What You'll Do

• Review, validate, and approve payroll inputs and outputs for assigned countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local requirements.
• Coordinate payroll processing activities with external payroll vendors and in-country partners, ensuring timely statutory processing.
• Perform detailed payroll checks, reconciliations, and variance analysis prior to payroll approval.
• Manage payroll administration activities, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and retroactive adjustments.
• Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from HR, Finance, and teammates.
• Support payroll audits, internal controls, and compliance checks by preparing documentation and reports.
• Partner with Finance to support payroll accounting and reporting activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes and handle sensitive payroll information with confidentiality.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of payroll or HR operations experience, preferably in a regional or multi-country environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll administration, controls, and data validation processes.
• Experience working with external payroll vendors across EMEA.
• High attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Comfortable working with HR systems and payroll platforms, including Celergo and Success Factors.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Experience in an international or matrixed organization.
