Senior Payroll Associate - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Associate to join our dynamic team at Deel. This remote position offers you the chance to take ownership of payroll processing activities while providing guidance to junior team members. As a Senior Payroll Associate, you will leverage your expertise in payroll systems and regulations to ensure compliance and implement process improvements across our operations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the processing of payroll data for Maltese employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain accurate employee records and verify data including salaries, hours worked, and deductions.
• Assist with payroll tax calculations and filings in accordance with Maltese legislation.
• Provide support to employees for payroll-related questions and issues.
• Lead the implementation of new payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 3-5 years of experience in Maltese payroll or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
