About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is crucial for processing and correcting payroll transactions for various countries, particularly those that are larger and more complex. You will support pre-payroll and year-end payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance in payroll processing.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and Global Payroll Vendors (GPV) to process payroll and resolve payroll transaction errors.
  • Review and validate payroll files and reports generated internally or by GPV, approving them for processing.
  • Support pre-payroll activities, including finalizing data entry and confirming the completeness of time and payroll data.
  • Assist in resolving input errors from third-party vendors or internal AbbVie stakeholders.
  • Contribute to year-end payroll processing activities, including developing payroll calendars and reviewing year-end tax reports.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding payroll data and reports.
  • Lead smaller global, regional, and country-specific projects while participating in global project teams.
  • Some travel may be required to support payroll operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5-7 years of operational payroll experience.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Workday and experience integrating with third-party applications.
  • Strong customer orientation and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good analytical and process diagnostic skills with attention to detail.
