Senior Payroll Accountant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Payroll Accountant to join our dynamic team at GR8 Tech. This remote role is essential for ensuring accurate payroll calculations and compliant remuneration processing across various jurisdictions. As a Senior Payroll Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and legal compliance, driving the success of our payroll operations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
• Control remuneration accruals and manage open debt effectively.
• Analyze labor law in relevant jurisdictions to ensure compliance.
• Create payment orders and maintain payroll accounting records in 1C and MS Business Central.
• Perform monthly reconciliations in 1C and prepare payroll-related journal entries, analytics, and reconciliations.
• Provide payroll data for financial reporting and ensure internal controls and risk management practices are applied in payroll accounting.
• Manage payroll audits and support general financial audits while identifying discrepancies and resolving payroll issues.
• Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and ensure timely information exchange between internal teams and external payroll providers.
• Conduct research with payroll providers in new locations and participate in establishing new procedures.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting and Payroll.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and payroll accounting standards.
• Knowledge of labor law, tax regulations, and payroll compliance requirements.
• Analytical skills and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Experience with payroll or financial audits.
• Familiarity with payroll software and ERP payroll modules (including 1C and MS Business Central).
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency; Ukrainian proficiency is a plus.

• Experience in the iGaming industry.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
