About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior ML Engineer to join our innovative team at Fundraise Up. This Senior ML Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to enhancing the fundraising experience for nonprofits. You will play a critical role in developing machine learning solutions that impact millions of users worldwide.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and deploy ML solutions across various business areas, utilizing tabular data for uplift models and recommender systems.
  • Design and implement LLM-powered features, including AI assistants and chatbots.
  • Build end-to-end ML solutions, from data preparation and training to API development and monitoring.
  • Work with diverse ML/LLM approaches, selecting the most effective methods for each task.
  • Collaborate with product teams to optimize donation processes and enhance user experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning and data science, with a strong focus on solving real product problems.
  • Expertise in classical algorithms, particularly gradient boosting, and familiarity with modern NLP/LLM approaches.
  • Proficient in Python, with a strong engineering culture and a product-oriented approach to development.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with ClickHouse and MongoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with MLOps tools and production workflows, including Docker, Git, and CI/CD.
