Senior Line Leader - Food Manufacturing

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Line Leader to join our vibrant team at Butternut Box. This role is based in our kitchen located in Blyth, Doncaster, where you will play a crucial part in our operations team. As a Senior Line Leader, you will oversee production processes and ensure that our high standards of quality are met. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about food safety and quality, and who loves working with a dedicated team.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate areas and shift responsibilities while collaborating with the team leader to enhance shift productivity.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure a great customer experience and product specifications.
• Act as the go-to person for all operatives on shift, providing guidance and support.
• Attend daily review meetings and assign duties to other operatives, ensuring smooth operations.
• Prepare for upcoming shifts by confirming that all necessary materials and stock are ready.
• Perform machine and equipment hygiene and changeovers to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Work diligently to meet relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Be flexible and willing to assist in various production tasks, including cleaning and operational support.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a line leader or area leader in the food manufacturing sector.
• Ability to read and communicate confidently in English.
• Numerate and capable of understanding and working with numbers.
• Available for a rotating shift schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Hard-working and diligent with a strong desire to learn.
• Comfortable working with raw materials such as beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and lamb.
• Flexible, pragmatic, resilient, and humble in your approach to work.
• Committed to maintaining food quality and safety standards.
• A love for dogs is a plus!

Nice to Have

• Experience in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
• Leadership training or certifications.
