Senior Java Engineer - Remote Opportunity in Latin America

About the Role

Azumo is currently looking for highly motivated Senior Java Engineers to develop and enhance high-performing and scalable backend infrastructure used by millions of users. This Senior Java Engineer remote position is fully remote and based in Latin America. We will only be considering candidates based in Latin America, as most of our engineers are based there.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and test robust Java APIs.
• Evaluate multiple approaches and technologies to solve complex problems.
• Understand data pipeline needs and collaborate with product managers to find effective solutions.
• Work with enterprise-class frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our backend infrastructure.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with enterprise-class frameworks (such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, Spring, or any other Java enterprise-class frameworks).
• Deep expertise in designing and building robust APIs.
• Practical experience with open-source technologies and products.
• Self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices.
