Senior IT Engineer - Cybersecurity (Remote)

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior IT Engineer - Cybersecurity to join our innovative team at XBOW. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions, leveraging AI to redefine the future of security. As a Senior IT Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in supporting and securing our internal systems and infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, and maintain end-user environments, including laptops and device management.
• Manage identity and access management systems (SSO, MFA, RBAC) to ensure secure access for all team members.
• Oversee networking components such as Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, and DNS to maintain a robust infrastructure.
• Own the SaaS tooling stack, including tools like Okta, Google Workspace, and Slack, ensuring they are secure and efficient.
• Automate IT tasks by writing scripts in Python or Bash to streamline provisioning, deprovisioning, and device configuration.
• Implement endpoint security measures such as EDR, patching, and disk encryption to protect our systems.
• Support compliance efforts with standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on IAM and AWS environment security, ensuring our infrastructure is secure and reliable.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT or DevOps roles, with a strong focus on cybersecurity.
• Proficient in scripting for automation and experienced with configuration management tools.
• Hands-on experience with mobile device management and endpoint provisioning.
• Familiarity with cloud IAM, particularly AWS, and tools like Okta and Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements such as SOC 2 and experience in aligning practices accordingly.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting engineering teams and developer tooling.
• Familiarity with modern Mac fleet management.
• A background in startups or helping a company transition to audit-ready.
