Senior HR Specialist - Remote Opportunity in Italy

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior HR Specialist to join our dynamic team at Globalization Partners. This HR Specialist remote position is an exciting opportunity to be a key business partner in the Employer of Record (EOR) industry. You will play a crucial role in advising clients on complex HR matters, primarily focusing on Italy and supporting additional Southern European countries as needed. Your expertise will help streamline the hiring, onboarding, and management processes, ultimately unlocking growth potential for our clients.

What You'll Do

• Act as the primary HR contact for onboarding, lifecycle events, and terminations to ensure a smooth and compliant employee experience.
• Manage sensitive employee relations cases, attend calls or meetings, and draft legally sound documentation.
• Build and manage relationships with payroll providers, benefits brokers, and HR legal advisors.
• Be the first point of contact for client queries on benefits, payroll, compliance, and workforce planning.
• Stay ahead of labor laws and cultural nuances in Italy to provide actionable guidance.
• Review and advise on employment contracts and risk mitigation strategies.
• Guide clients through Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and ensure timely salary changes.
• Act as the single point of contact for employees’ immigration and mobility needs in collaboration with the Global Mobility team.
• Drive automation and AI adoption to streamline HR processes.
• Lead efforts to standardize and improve HR practices globally.

Requirements

• 5+ years of HR experience, with knowledge of the EOR industry being desirable.
• Fluent in Italian and English; additional languages are a bonus.
• Deep expertise in Italian labor laws and strong working knowledge of employment regulations in Southern Europe.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Tech-savvy with experience in HRIS, Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, Tableau, and collaboration tools like Zoom & Slack.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting complex employee relations.
• Knowledge of Staff Leasing and Tertiary NCBA.
