Senior Frontend Engineer - Modernizing Checkout Experiences

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team at ThriveCart. This Senior Frontend Engineer remote position is perfect for someone looking to make a significant impact on our platform, which powers over 65,000 businesses and generates more than $2 billion in annual sales. You will work on enhancing our component library for onboarding and funnels, directly influencing how our customers create their checkout experiences.

What You'll Do

• Extend existing components in our funnel/onboarding builder.
• Ship features end-to-end, from design handoff to production.
• Fix bugs in both legacy (AngularJS, jQuery) and modern (React, TypeScript) parts of the editor.
• Write tests for critical flows to ensure reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to improve code quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience shipping frontend features in production web apps.
• Solid JavaScript fundamentals and TypeScript experience.
• Experience with at least one modern framework, preferably React.
• Comfortable navigating legacy code (AngularJS, jQuery, or similar).
• Ability to write tests and debug across different browsers.

Nice to Have

• Experience with visual builders, editors, or drag-and-drop UIs.
• Background in e-commerce or SaaS products.
• Familiarity with migrating legacy apps to modern frameworks.
• Knowledge of microfrontends or modular architectures.
