About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer - VoIP remote to join our innovative team at Parloa. As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Parloa operates seamlessly within enterprise telephony systems. Your expertise in VoIP and SIP will be essential in enhancing customer interactions and experiences. With a mission to transform customer support into meaningful exchanges, you will be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technology into real-world applications.

What You'll Do

• Own telephony integration projects: Lead the technical execution of VoIP/SIP connectivity for enterprise customers and partners, from proof of concept to production.
• Design reliable call paths: Architect integrations via SIP trunking providers, ensuring optimal latency, reliability, and security.
• Debug complex issues end-to-end: Troubleshoot signaling and media problems, utilizing logs and network traces to quickly identify root causes.
• Navigate enterprise constraints: Propose connectivity options that adhere to strict firewall policies and regulatory requirements.
• Partner deeply with customer engineers: Collaborate with telecom, network, and platform teams to align architectures and operational procedures.
• Support partner enablement: Assist telephony partners in integrating with Parloa, resolving escalations, and enhancing repeatability through documentation.
• Engineer pragmatic solutions: Develop small utilities or scripts to validate assumptions and automate diagnostics.
• Raise the bar on reliability: Define best practices for NAT traversal, resiliency, monitoring, and incident response in telephony-connected deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in VoIP/telephony engineering, SIP integrations, or telecom consulting.
• Strong hands-on expertise with SIP-based integrations and call routing concepts.
• Solid understanding of signaling vs. media flows and common failure modes.
• Practical experience working with SIP trunking providers and enterprise PBX setups.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Builder mindset: capable of designing and validating solutions independently.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong plus: Cloud-native experience (especially Azure) and familiarity with Kubernetes environments.
