Senior Experience Designer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Experience Designer to join our remote team at Thoughtworks. As a Senior Experience Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our digital products. This position offers the unique opportunity to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality software solutions to our clients.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and delivery of technology projects that transform how our clients operate, while developing innovative digital products and services.
• Collaborate with small, cross-functional teams to create a variety of experience design deliverables, including journey maps, service blueprints, roadmaps, prototypes, and design systems.
• Facilitate workshops and develop unique design strategies for products, participating in strategic decision-making at the portfolio level.
• Apply various research methods such as context analysis, moderated interviews, experiments, and user tests to inform design decisions.
• Set up inspiring design hypotheses for delivery teams that include both Thoughtworkers and our clients.
• Ensure that project scope, risks, and updates are regularly assessed and communicated effectively.
• Balance client and Thoughtworker expectations by clearly communicating experience design deliverables.
• Extend your expertise to teammates by mentoring less-experienced designers when possible.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in experience design with specialties in at least three additional areas such as user research, service design, digital product design, interface design, or visual design.
• Comfortable leading and advising research activities on experience design projects, employing various methods such as contextual inquiry and user testing.
• Strong storytelling skills to present research methods and findings to stakeholders clearly.
• A unique and inspiring approach to product design, with a passion for facilitating client brainstorms and internal sessions.
• Ability to liaise between clients and key stakeholders throughout projects, ensuring buy-in and trust.
• A knack for defining project roles and building confidence in design teammates.
• A passion for contributing to the experience design community through peer reviews and expanding the team's understanding of group dynamics.
• A portfolio link showcasing expertise in digital products (web and mobile) is highly desirable.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Enterprise/SaaS design.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Experience in public speaking or presenting at conferences.
