About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Expediting Engineer remote to join our dynamic team at Burns & McDonnell. As a leading player in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry, we pride ourselves on delivering innovative solutions across multiple sectors, including Chemicals, Oil & Gas, and Power. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in expediting to contribute to our continued success.

What You'll Do

  • Expedite suppliers for project materials and documentation related to Rotating Equipment, Static Equipment, Piping, and Electrical & Instrumentation Items.
  • Oversee manufacturing sequences for major Static, Rotary, and E&I items.
  • Review supplier manufacturing schedules and ensure compliance with timelines.
  • Conduct desk and field expediting for both international and domestic suppliers.
  • Independently manage expediting assignments and conduct periodic meetings with suppliers and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate to resolve issues impacting procurement and delivery processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to expediting activities.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 11-12 years of experience in expediting within the EPC industry.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English skills are required for communication with US, UK, and European suppliers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and advanced computer literacy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with international suppliers and understanding of global procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
