What You'll Do

• Develop middleware and platform components for infotainment and connectivity based on Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
• Implement new features and actively contribute to the future of vehicle connectivity.
• Analyze and optimize existing software solutions in areas such as HAL, system services, and OS.
• Independently design software architectures and concepts, implementing them effectively.
• Take on technical leadership responsibilities, coordinating and guiding developer teams on defined work packages.
• Embrace challenges with new technologies and solutions, driving innovation in the automotive sector.
• Mentor junior developers and share your expertise to foster growth within the team.
• Continuously develop your skills by leveraging your strengths and pursuing further education opportunities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development within the automotive sector.
• Strong knowledge of Android Automotive OS, including middleware, HAL, and platform architecture.
• Proficient in C++, Java, Kotlin, and Android build systems (AOSP, Soong, Make).
• Familiarity with embedded Linux and automotive communication protocols (SOME/IP, IPC, Ethernet, CAN).
• Experience with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is a plus.
• Optional: Knowledge of AUTOSAR Adaptive.
• Understanding of security and safety requirements in automotive applications.
• Structured, reliable, and team-oriented work style.
• Fluent in German (minimum C1) and English (minimum B2).

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud technologies and big data analytics.
• Familiarity with machine learning applications in automotive.
