About the Role

We are currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer remote to join a leading Financial Trading company. This role allows you to work fully remote from anywhere in the UK, providing a fantastic opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in the financial sector.

What You'll Do

• Lead the DevOps team, managing a junior DevOps Engineer and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Implement and manage cloud solutions, primarily using GCP or AWS, to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring seamless deployment and scaling of applications.
• Develop automation scripts using Python or similar languages to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with developers and testers to deliver end-to-end solutions, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on cloud technologies (GCP or AWS).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
• Experience in leading teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
