Senior Data Scientist - Remote Position at Reddit
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our growing Ads Data Science team at Reddit. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage data to maximize advertiser value through innovative data science methods and models. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow data scientists to drive significant impact on our advertising platform.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and apply data science solutions to enhance the advertiser experience and improve Reddit's ad platform performance.
- Create data assets such as new tables and self-serve dashboards to empower partners in answering their own data questions.
- Develop reporting dashboards for product and engineering teams to track topline metrics and conduct deep dives into specific areas of interest.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that enhance the effectiveness of our advertising platform.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and translate them into actionable data science solutions.
- Uncover strategic insights and share them with stakeholders to influence future product directions.
- Develop machine learning models and data science methods to improve anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, causal inference, and experimental design.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and analysis using tools such as Spark, Hadoop, or Hive; knowledge of BigQuery is a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

- Experience with online advertising and ad tech.
- Familiarity with causal inference and A/B testing methodologies.
