Senior Data Engineer - Databricks & AWS Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely from Finland. This Senior Data Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to work on scalable data solutions using cutting-edge technologies like Databricks and AWS. You will play a vital role in designing and maintaining ETL pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines using Databricks on AWS.
• Develop and manage ETL workflows using DBT.
• Orchestrate data pipelines using Airflow for efficient data processing.
• Work with large-scale datasets, applying advanced SQL and Python programming skills.
• Implement object-oriented programming principles in Python development.
• Collaborate on data architecture and ensure adherence to best practices in data engineering.
• Manage version control and CI processes using GitHub.
• Utilize Unity Catalog for data governance and access control.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Databricks for data engineering and ETL on AWS.
• Proven experience using DBT for ETL development.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong Python programming skills, including OOP principles.
• Experience with Unity Catalog and proficiency with GitHub for source control and CI.
• Must have the right to work in Finland; candidates based in Finland can work fully remote.
• For candidates applying from outside Finland, willingness to relocate to Finland for the first month of the contract is required.
• A European passport is required for candidates applying from outside Finland.

Nice to Have
