Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace. This Senior Cybersecurity Engineer remote position is a unique opportunity to work with one of the world’s largest aerospace and defense companies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of enterprise environments, particularly focusing on the Department of Defense (DoD) requirements.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions to ensure compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) security requirements.
• Architect, deploy, and optimize enterprise network solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and security.
• Configure, build, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems in accordance with security best practices.
• Support the Government Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in RMF accreditation efforts, including documentation development and continuous monitoring activities.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure optimal network performance.
• Validate and verify hardware and software functionality through testing and performance evaluation.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Experience with Linux or Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, VMware, and backup and recovery processes.
• Experience with DoD/RMF compliance and cybersecurity best practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS.
• Familiarity with data storage technologies such as NAS and SAN.
• Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX.
• Knowledge of scripting languages.
