About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Civil Engineer to join our team remotely. This position focuses on managing water and wastewater utilities projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality public works infrastructure. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and improvement of municipal systems.

What You'll Do

• Oversee complex engineering projects related to water and wastewater systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead the design and construction of treatment facilities and hydraulic systems, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Manage capital improvement projects from conception to completion, maintaining high standards for quality and budget control.
• Prepare and evaluate plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various engineering projects.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and ensure project compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Four years of professional engineering experience in water/wastewater utilities projects.
• California Professional Civil Engineer registration or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding engineering and environmental compliance.
• Proficient in project management and engineering design principles.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
• Knowledge of stormwater control regulations.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
