Senior Bookkeeper - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Bookkeeper - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will handle various accounting tasks while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting standards, and supporting our clients in the nonprofit sector.

What You'll Do

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Handle payroll processing and tax returns, including GST/HST filings.
• Collaborate with clients to provide financial insights and support.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online and Xero for efficient bookkeeping and financial management.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a remote setting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience in nonprofit accounting is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with content marketing and copywriting.
• Familiarity with SEO principles.
• Previous experience as an executive or administrative assistant.
