Senior Accountant - Remote Position at Anton Paar

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team at Anton Paar. This remote Senior Accountant role offers the opportunity to work with a growing real estate portfolio in Graz, Austria. You will play a crucial role in managing our accounting processes and contributing to the strategic development of our financial operations.

What You'll Do

• Independently manage ongoing bookkeeping tasks, including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UGB in coordination with the group and tax consultancy.
• Conduct account reconciliations and closing activities to ensure accuracy.
• Handle asset accounting and prepare VAT and corporate tax reports via FinanzOnline.
• Collaborate on tax and accounting issues, providing insights and solutions.
• Manage the ongoing recording of rental and property accounting, ensuring all transactions are accurately reflected.
• Reconcile bank accounts and manage payment transactions efficiently.
• Act as a liaison between property management software (ITS) and SAP for payroll processing.
• Prepare data for external payroll processing and ensure accurate accounting of payroll transactions.
• Contribute to reporting and process optimization for internal and external reports.

Requirements

• Completed commercial training (HAK, FH, university) with a focus on accounting.
• Completed accountant examination is an advantage.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in accounting.
• Experience with SAP and ideally property management software (ITS).
• Structured and self-reliant working style with high accuracy and strong numerical understanding.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience in process optimization and reporting.
• Knowledge of real estate accounting practices.
• Fluency in English and German.
