About the Role

We are hiring a Senior 3D Technical Lead to join our dynamic team at Plotpointe. This Senior 3D Technical Lead remote position focuses on producing high-quality 3D animations using Blender, specifically tailored for short-form storytelling formats such as YouTube Shorts. As a key player in our animation pipeline, you will leverage your expertise to create visually stunning animations that resonate with audiences and elevate our storytelling capabilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce high-quality 3D animations in Blender for short-form storytelling.
  • Execute established creative and technical standards across character animation, camera work, look development, shaders, and simulations.
  • Refine and improve animation workflows, tools, and production systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Animation, writers, editors, and other creatives to bring stories to life.
  • Troubleshoot technical or creative challenges and propose smart solutions.
  • Maintain speed, consistency, and quality under tight deadlines.
  • Act as a go-to creative resource for complex shots or sequences.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience in 3D animation, with a strong preference for Blender experience.
  • Deep knowledge of character animation, cinematography, look development, shader effects, and simulations.
  • Experience working within structured animation pipelines and production environments.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working on fully remote teams.
  • Highly detail-oriented, self-directed, and reliable.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-output creative environments.
