Sales Manager (Player-Coach) - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Manager (Player-Coach) remote to join Kit, an innovative email-first operating system dedicated to empowering creators. In this role, you will not only lead but also actively participate in sales, making it a unique opportunity to blend management with hands-on selling. You will be instrumental in helping creators grow and monetize their audiences while achieving significant sales targets.
What You'll Do
- Lead a small but effective sales team, coaching two Account Executives while also carrying a personal sales quota.
- Engage in direct sales activities, closing deals and developing strategies to enhance sales performance.
- Participate in key events and prospect meetings, representing Kit and building relationships with potential clients.
- Drive the adoption of Creator Pro, Kit’s premium tier, by positioning it as the essential tool for serious creators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Support, and Product to refine sales strategies and improve customer engagement.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance sales workflows, ensuring you and your team work smarter and more efficiently.
- Travel a few times per quarter for conferences and in-person meetings to foster relationships and drive sales.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, with a proven track record as a top-performing individual contributor.
- 2-4 years of experience in a coaching or mentoring role, helping other sellers improve their skills.
- Strong understanding of the creator economy and experience selling to creators, educators, or digital-first businesses.
- Excellent pipeline management and forecasting skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and risks effectively.
- Comfortable with in-person selling and event presence, capable of engaging clients face-to-face.
- Fluency in AI applications within sales processes, leveraging technology to enhance outreach and deal preparation.
Nice to Have
- Experience in email marketing or selling to small and mid-sized businesses.
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Gong, and Intercom.
- Previous experience in a player-coach role within a sales team.
